MiCloud Flex on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
This is a Mitel unified communications (UC) solution built on GCP and encompasses a full suite of Unified Communications and Contact Center solutions. The following applications are available with the MiCloud Flex on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) solution:
- MiVoice Business Release 9.1 (Call Manager, referred to as Containers-based MiVoice Business (cMiVB) in the System Administration Tool Online Help)
- MiVoice Border Gateway Release 11.1 (Session Border Controller)
- MiCollab Release 9.1.3 (Collaboration Application)
- MiContact Center - Business Release 9.2 SP2 (Contact Center Application)
- WorkForce Optimization Release 6.3 (Call Recording Application)
- Mitel Performance Analytics Release 3.1 (Performance Analysis and Reporting Application)
- Tollring Release 3.7 (Call Analytics Application)

Hardware
A new controller, MXe III-L (where L stands for LAN), is added to the family of 3300 ICP controllers. The MXe III-L controller is a functional replacement for the MXe III controller. The MXe III-L controller has the same capabilities as the MXe III controller except the following:
- No WAN port
- No redundant L2 connectivity
- No IGMP filtering
- Equipped with 10/100 MB Ethernet LAN port

Devices
A new model, 6970 IP Conference Phone, is added to the 6900 series of MiNET IP Phones. It is an enterprise-level IP conference phone having 96 programmable keys and 6 softkeys. Its display and call-processing feature set is similar to that of the 6940 IP Phone.
New Features and Capabilities
A new Comment parameter is added to the following forms that allows Administrators to optionally enter comments on an entry.
- Call Rerouting Always Alternatives
- Call Reroute First Alternatives
- Call Reroute Second Alternatives
- System Speed Calls
- Manage System Speed Calls in the Group Administrator Tool
The Dial Out of Queue feature allows callers queued after calling an endpoint, ring group or console to dial out of the queue during or between RAD messages, if they cannot hold until the called party answers the call.
- The Dial Out of Queue Lists form is used to assign destination DNs to dial pad keys (0-9, #,or *); a caller can dial out of the queue during or between RAD messages to connect to a destination DN by pressing the corresponding dialpad key.
- You can specify a Dial Out of Queue List Number and associated DTMF receiver behavior from the Call Coverage Services form:
- A new field, Recording N: Dial Out of Queue List, is added to enter a Dial Out of Queue List Number as configured in the Dial Out of Queue Lists form.
- A new field, Recording N: Release Digit Receiver After Recording, is added to release the digit receiver in use after the RAD finishes playing.
- A new field, DTMF Receiver Unavailable Action, is added to select the preferred behavior if a DTMF receiver is unavailable.
- A new field, DTMF Receiver Unavailable Answer Point Directory Number, is added to enter the destination number to be dialed if the DTMF Receiver Unavailable Action field is set to Divert.
The Emergency DID Routing feature allows a PSAP emergency callback to be routed to an emergency caller's registration telephone DN or hot desk user DN:
- A new field, Emergency DID Routing Enabled, is added to the Shared System Options form to enable or disable the Emergency DID Routing feature.
- A new CRS Service type, Emergency DID, is added to the Call Recognition Service form to indicate the type of DID entry recorded by the system.
- New maintenance commands are added to perform the Show, Query and Purge operations on existing Emergency DID entries:
- CRS SHOW EMERGENCY_DID
- CRS QUERY EMERGENCY_DID <DIGISTRING>
- CRS PURGE EMERGENCY_DID
Added a new form, Mass Audio Notification, that is used to sent audio notification to sets within a network zone through a mass notification application (for example, Mitel Revolution).
SIP-DECT Manager Integration allows you to manage SIP-DECT device records from the System Administration Tool:
- SIP DECT Manager is added as a Type in the Network Elements form. New fields corresponding to the new Type, SIP DECT Manager: Secure AXI Port, Server Type, Secondary SIP-DECT Manager FQDN or IP Address, Username, Password, Confirm Password, and Auto-create on subscription are also added.
- A new check box, Sync with SIP-DECT Manager, is added to the Group Administration Tool to sync new or updated SIP-DECT device records with the SIP-DECT Manager.
Web server certificate from Server Manager can be used as a device certificate.
Increased the maximum capacity of the following Ring Groups parameters:
- Number of ring groups on server based MiVoice Business platforms from 704 to 2000.
- Number of members in a ring group on server based MiVoice Business platforms from 32 to 64.
Increased the maximum capacity of the following Dimension Selection form parameters:
- Number of database records allocatable to data in the Call Rerouting Always Alternatives form from 250 to 1000.
- Number of database records allocatable to data in the Call Reroute First Alternatives form from 250 to 1000.
- Number of database records allocatable to data in the Call Reroute Second Alternatives form from 100 to 1000.
- Number of database records allocatable to Digit Blocks from 41556 to 100000.
- Number of database records allocatable to System Speed Call data from 3000 to 10000.
Added a new COS option, Headset In-Band Ring Burst, that allows users on an active call to hear a ring burst (camp-on) tone on the headset (instead of the set's speaker) when a second call is presented on another line.
Voicemail Options Form Updates
- A new field, Enable Prompts on Transfer, is added to allow voice prompts to play while the Auto Attendant transfers a call to the destination.
- A new field, Enable Admin TUI, is added to enable access to the Admin Telephone User Interface (TUI).
- A new field, Enforce Complex Password, is added to enable validation of a new or existing voice mailbox PIN against a certain set of rules.
- A new field, Change EUM Password, is added to the Desktop Tool to change the Embedded UM password.
Added a new topic Temporary Data to recommend that temporary data should be either periodically deleted from the /root folder or collected in the /tmp folder.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 or later is not supported by the System Administration Tool, the Group Administration Tool, and the Desktop Tool.
Microsoft Management Console (MMC) can be used to install the MiVoice Business self-signed security or an enterprise PKI certificate.
Enabling or disabling DND or Call Forwarding by a non-prime member of a MdUG, applies the setting to all the members of the MdUG.
Server Manager now supports adding new user accounts through the System users page under Administration.
- You can define same user accounts both in Server Manager and in the System Administration Tool (using the User Authorization Profiles form) that allows you to open the Server Manager application directly from the MiVoice Business Tools selection page.
- You can also set the same passwords for user accounts in Server Manager and the System Administration Tool, provided it meets the password criterion of both applications.
Added a new form "VM Call Flow Administration", that allows for the configuration of Call Flows with specific actions to handle incoming calls for your organization, for departments within your organization, and for individual mailboxes and extensions. Call Flows are applicable to Containers-based MiVoice Business (cMiVB) deployments only.
- You can perform the Enable/Disable Override Call Flow action from the Voice mail TUI in the role of an Administrator.
